Does part number 2255231 fit the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS BB gun?

Yes. Part number 2255231 is the official Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 .177 CO2 air pistol magazine with a 17-round capacity. It is built specifically to fit the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS .177 caliber BB gun pistol frame. Always check the packaging for this specific item number to avoid accidentally purchasing an airsoft magazine or an incompatible firearm clip.

Can I use an airsoft magazine or a 19X magazine in my Glock 19 Gen 5 BB pistol?

No, neither airsoft magazines nor 19X magazines will function properly in your Gen 5 BB gun. The GoldenBall X WE Tech magazine holds 22 rounds of 6mm plastic ammo, which cannot feed or fire .177 steel BBs. Meanwhile, the Umarex Glock 19X Gen5 .177 caliber BB gun air pistol uses an 18-shot magazine designed for its distinct frame profile. Check the caliber and model label on your pistol frame to make sure you purchase the 17-round Gen 5 magazine.

Does the drop-free Umarex Gen 5 magazine house the CO2 cartridge?

Yes, the drop-free magazine holds both the .177 caliber steel BBs and the internal CO2 power source. This integrated design delivers the gas pressure required to cycle the slide on the blowback action. Always verify that your magazine puncture screw tightens straight to create an airtight seal against the valve. Maintaining a clean seal ensures consistent velocity and reliable feeding every time you take your CO2 BB gun out for target practice.

Will real firearm accessories like base plates or speed loaders fit this airgun magazine?

No. Accessories made for 9mm firearms, including aftermarket metal base plates and SPEED BEEZ magazine loaders, are not compatible with Umarex air pistol magazines. Centerfire firearm magazines use hollow bodies to hold 9mm cartridges, while airgun magazines feature internal CO2 housings and dedicated BB feed channels. Purchasing 9mm base plates or loaders will result in parts that do not lock or fit onto your magazine body.

How can I tell the difference between the Gen 5 magazine and the 19X BB magazine?

The easiest way to tell them apart is by checking the specified capacity and part designation. The standard Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 .177 CO2 air pistol magazine holds 17 rounds and carries part number 2255231. In contrast, the spare magazine for the Umarex Glock 19X Gen5 air pistol is listed as an 18-shot magazine. Confirm your pistol model and shot capacity on the box before placing an order to avoid getting the wrong fit.

Can I use a dry-fire dummy magazine in my Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5?

No, firearm dummy training clips like the Hammy3DPrints orange dry-fire magazine will not work in an air pistol. Those dummy magazines are 15-round polymer blocks made specifically for real 9mm handguns such as the G19 and G23. If you cross-train between pistols and a tactical air rifle, remember that airgun platforms require dedicated magazines that match their internal gas valves and frame dimensions.
