Local laws may restrict airgun ownership, transport, or discharge. A private yard may still be unsafe because of roads, neighboring homes, pets, windows, or hard surfaces beyond the target. The shooting lane needs enough containment for every miss, not just centered hits. Lawful use and a secure backstop should be established before installing the cartridge.
Storage deserves the same care as active use. The TAC should be unloaded, cleared according to its manual, and secured against unauthorized access. BBs and CO2 cartridges should remain stored responsibly rather than left beside a loaded magazine. Controlled access, eye protection, and disciplined muzzle direction are basic requirements despite the recreational format.
